I love the mountains.
I run trails, fells, mountains & roads; hike, climb badly & infrequently, mountain & road bike, stand up paddle board & take part in all manner of challenges. Provide me an element of physical suffering & i’ll probably give it a shot.
Some of the events I’ve taken part in and completed:
Pulled a 7.5 tonne lorry 6.2 miles with 5 other people
22 hour continuous abseil off a crane
Finished all 5 days of Hell of Hill Marathons, Clif Bar 10 Peaks Long Course – Lake District, Lakeland 50, Ennerdale Ultra, Snowdon Road Marathon, Glencoe Trail Marathon, 3rd Male Dark Ox Night 10km, London Marathon, Red Bull Steeplechase, 25th overall Trail Marathon Wales, Salomon Ring of Steall Sky Race, 5th overall Maverick Races Silva Dark Series Long Course – Hampshire
My true passion is being creative and telling other people’s stories and this is the founding idea behind the website. Whether I can inspire through photography, my own experiences or those of others, the trails are home.
Over the past 9 years I’ve volunteered for the NSPCC, Help for Heroes, The Royal National Lifeboat Institution, guiderunning.uk, MyOutdoors.co.uk, Buxton Adventure Festival and Sheffield Adventure Film Festival.
Founder of Myoutdoors Running Twitter Page, under the watchful eye of Dave Mycroft and Running Editor of Myoutdoors for 2 years, I’ve travelled to races, developed my review style and become part of the UK trail running media.
I’ve had written work published by the Mountaineering Council of Scotland, Trail Magazine, Anxiety UK, MyOutdoors and Lifesystems. Photos published by Trail Running Mag commissions from Run Coed Y Brenin and inov-8.
Adventure and sharing experiences is at the heart of my philosophy.
