We all want it, but thought of Intervals makes us shudder.
Speed = (run x times) x (distance) x (pace)
I was never a scientist *do not take the above as fact, I just made it up*
Beyond simply running fast, increasing the ability to hold or maintain the intensity for longer is vital for long distance running.
It hurts. Feels uncomfortable. May even make you vomit or feel like headed.
But it’s worth it.
The above photo was taken at the end of an hour long interval session.
I felt fantastic.
…..now to remember that the next time I see it in the training plan.
