Following on from our interview with Michael Jones, Salomon Athlete and Ultra-Trail Snowdonia Race Director, for those looking to gain knowledge of the course, learn a trick or two, or simply silence some nerves, there are options.

LLanberis to Beddgelert – 7th April 2018

Llanberis to Capel Curig – 21st April 2018
Capel Curig to Llanberis – 22nd April 2018
All days allow time on the course, a coach trip to the start of the run, use of a demo fleet of Leki poles, a goody bag that’ll keep you topped from event suppliers Wild Trail and Torque Fitness, and if that’s not all, time with fellow competitors. It’s better to know the enemy 😉
All this for £30 each day.

Guided Weekends
For those looking for a full weekend of running, in the region of 50 miles, with accommodation, food and every question they can muster catered for, two weekends are being laid on to satisfy your UTS appetite.
The first is the UTS-50 Experience on the 23rd March 2018.
Covering the 50 mile course from LLanberis to Beddgelert and back, the days include practical sessions on climbing/descending, basic navigation, Q&A, but also, two nights accommodation, baggage transfer, food and you benefit from the same perks as the Recce Days, in the form of a goody bag and optional use of Leki’s demo poles. You’ll be lead by UTS Race Director Michael Jones, who designed and tested the route.
If you’re going for triple figures, the UTS-100 Experience on the 13th April gives you the opportunity to sample the running from Llanberis to Capel Curig and back. Of course, if you want to rehearse the full route, you can bolster it with the recce days or other experience weekend.
