I’m fortunate to call Lauren a friend. Well, an online amigo I’ve met a couple of times. This time last year I was part of Protect Our Winters UK social media team, which as someone who has spent one lesson on skis and another on a board, really isn’t the best qualified to talk snow.
Furthermore, Im in Milton Keynes where winter at its peak means a lack lustre flurry of sleet that sends the road network into chaos and work colleagues panicking about their two mile commute by car home.
But I remember, when I were a lad, in Kent… see Im sure you were expecting Yorkshire, that we had real snow, days off school being closed, snow ball fights.
It felt like Winter.
Things have changed, our seasons seem absent of transitions, our winters absent or extreme.
And then there’s Lauren
