Volunteering is flipping fun! (pun intended)
While providing first aid cover for Olney Pancake race, the Mayor asked if we’d take on some of the Olney Retained Fire crew in a pancake race of our own, much to the crowds & our own amusement
I’ve been responding as a Community First Responder for 6 weeks & it’s been some of the most rewarding moments of my life so far
I’m raising money for @scasambulancecharity this weekend, one of my two chosen charities for my 4x4x48 challenge
South Central Ambulance Charity fund Community First Responders & Co-Responders across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire & Hampshire, sending us in ahead of @scas_999 ambulance crews, to help with a wide variety of medical emergencies
We are volunteers & donations pay for our training, equipment & much more
